This page does not focus on tricks exclusive to JavaScript versions above 1.1 because to many Internet users do not use browsers that understand it. So I am not displaying something that is not practical to implement at this time.
| Instructions for this page's JavaScript uses are explained on the right. | |||
| JavaScript Image tricks require Netscape version 3.x or greater or Internet Explorer version 4.x or greater. | The toddler is my youngest son. The animated effect is accomplished with JavaScript. Animated frog eyes occur over the links across the top when your mouse cursor is over those links. JavaScript is used to swap transparent images with an animated GIF. The email link uses a similar process. In the white area, the drop-down menus, radio button list, and links are different versions of a similar trick. - "Display Field" options respond in the "Display Field" form window. "Display Area" does the same in the "Display Area" form window. "New Window" causes responses to pop up in a new window. - The first drop-down menu responds as soon as you make a selection. The second drop-down list and the radio list require you to "Submit". The links require the mouse pointer to pass over the link (the "New window" option can be annoying). |
